I love I Love La. I don't even care about saying it. I've seen Rachel Sennot on Instagram reels with her genuinely irritating vocal fry, so I went into the show ready to be angry.

I actually had a lot of fun. The characters were fairly defined and the storylines accentuated it. Episode 4 I think was actually gold. 

I'm sure people aren't going to be convinced to watch this show by my review, so I don't care about spoilers.

In episode 4, our main characters go to some weird Hollywood party, some may say Hollyweird but I don't like wordplay. The party is at Elijah Woods house but he isn't there, however the black chick of the group is in love with him. Well, one thing leads to another, as it always does.

Elijah Wood Is at the party in his room, and is watching YouTube. Rachel Sennot and… the black chick are now trying to get into a 3-way with Elijah, but after he spazzes over clothes germs, he LITERALLY has to turn on the opening of Shrek and sing along to Allstar by Smashmouth to calm down. 

That actually happens. In the show. Actually.

That is a prime example of how this show manages to turn some lame LA girl brain drama into a genuinely funny show. I loved it. This is the Mr. Robot of girl brain TV.

Josh Hutcherson plays a bit of a Clay Jensen character but his cute little arc of realizing his lowkey cucking girlfriend is actually good or whatever was funny. That and Coke Larry. 

Oh yeah, Josh Hutcherson plays a teacher and gets a photo taken of him, mid line of coke, which then becomes a meme and everyone calls him Coke Larry.

Just a whole lot of funny shit goes down and it was enjoyable and surprised the fuck out of me. Good job Rachel Sennot, I still have no clue who you are and why you're all over podcasts but you made a good show.

I Love LA is a 7/10.
